Advertising featuring marker pen doodles suddenly seem to be everywhere – Radio 4, Nokia and Carphone Warehouse all have variations on the theme. It seems that the more technical the product the more ads strive to evoke a human feel in the branding. Is this the visual equivalent of all those phone ads featuring fey acoustic songs? And is any of this particularly own-able?
